Where this policy applies

eduspine.com is the corporate website of Eduspine, and it takes no bookings and no payments of its own. Lessons across our network are booked and paid with the local operation that arranges them in each country. This page sets out the terms that Eduspine holds every local operation to, and it applies to every paid lesson booked with one of them.

The local operation matches each learner with a verified tutor and runs the scheduling, the payments, progress updates and any change of tutor. The tutor teaches the lessons. The policy speaks to you as the learner, and the same terms apply when someone else books and pays for your lessons, such as a parent, a relative or an employer.

02

Enrolling, and what it commits you to

The details you give when you enrol are used for one purpose: finding a tutor who fits. The local operation then gets in touch to confirm what you need and sends you the fees in writing.

Until you accept those fees, there is no obligation of any kind. The first consultation is free of charge, and closing an enrolment at this stage takes one message.

03

How soon a tutor is assigned

A tutor is assigned within 1 to 5 business days, Monday to Friday, counted from the day your needs are complete: the programme, the schedule, the place or online format, and any preference about the tutor.

Widely taught subjects, flexible hours and open criteria sit at the quick end of that range. A rare subject or very specific criteria take the longer end. The tutor’s profile is sent to you to review before the first lesson is scheduled. If 5 business days pass, the local operation writes to you without being asked, with the options open to you.

04

Fees and payment

Fees are worked out from the programme, the level, the length of each lesson, the number of lessons a month and, for lessons in person, the tutor’s travel. Every part of them is set out in writing before the first lesson, including a one-time registration fee for a new learner. The figure agreed holds for the whole package, and no charge appears later.

Payment is made in advance for each package period into the official account of the local operation you booked with. Our network never asks for payment into a personal account, so please never pay a tutor directly.

05

Automatic renewal of a package

Packages renew automatically, so learning carries on without a break in the middle of a topic. Three points in time decide how it works.

When renewal happens
When two lessons or one remain in a package, the next package is renewed and its renewal invoice is issued at that moment.
If you are not continuing
Tell the local operation before the renewal invoice is issued, and the renewal is stopped. One message is enough.
If no message comes
The renewal invoice is issued and the tutor carries on teaching on the same package and schedule.

Unsure how many lessons remain? Ask the local operation at any time and it tells you.

06

Moving a lesson

Lesson times are set by agreement between you and your tutor. To move a lesson, tell your tutor or the local operation by the day before at the latest, and the lesson moves to a new time you agree on, with nothing taken from your package.

Notice given too late can count the lesson as taught, because the tutor has already set that time aside and, for lessons in person, travelled to you.

07

Cancelling, and when money comes back

Before a tutor is introduced
Cancelling before a tutor has been matched and introduced to you is handled free of charge.
Once a tutor is introduced
Once a tutor is available and has been introduced to you, the registration fee applies, even if the first lesson has not taken place.
Once a package has begun
The lessons already taught are recalculated as single lessons, at a rate with terms of its own that differs from the package price. While the local operation can still provide a tutor and the cancellation does not come from our side, a refund is not facilitated.
08

What we guarantee throughout

  • A different tutor, free of charge. If a tutor’s teaching style does not suit you, ask at any time while your package runs and a replacement is found at no extra cost.
  • Verified tutors. Every tutor’s identity, qualifications and teaching record are checked before their first assignment.
  • Progress updates. You, or whoever booked for you, receive a summary of the material covered and notes on progress, so the direction of the learning is always visible.
  • Your details used only as needed. Enrolment details are used to find a tutor and to communicate about the service. They are never sold to anyone.
09

Questions about these terms

Write to the local operation you booked with, using the contact details on its website, or email us at hello@eduspine.com and we pass your message straight to the right team. Please include the learner’s name and the invoice number where there is one. The written answer binds the network in the same way as this page.

Nothing on this page limits a right the consumer law of the country where you live gives you, including the right to dispute a card payment with your bank. How we handle personal details is described in our Privacy Policy, and use of this website is covered by our Terms of Use.

10

Changes to these terms

These terms can change as the service develops. The current version always lives on this page with the date at the top, and a change applies to enrolments made after that date. A package already running keeps the terms it was agreed under.
