Who is responsible for your information
Eduspine (“we”, “us”) decides how the personal information described here is used, which makes us responsible for it under data protection law. Our company registration details are given in writing on request.
This policy covers the website eduspine.com and the emails we exchange with you after you write to us or apply. Lessons in our network are arranged by the local operations in each country, which handle the information of their learners under their own privacy policies. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@eduspine.com.
What we collect
What we collect depends on the form you use. Each form sends the fields listed for it below, and the information is stored when you submit it.
- Contact form. Your name, your email address, the subject you choose (general enquiry, partnership, educator, press, or careers), and your message.
- Educator application form. Your name, email address, and phone number; the subjects you teach; and, if you write one, a short introduction. When you open the form from a link on one of our educator pages, the role, location, or university named in that link is recorded with your application.
- Educator account. After an educator application, we email you a link to set up an educator account at educator.eduspine.com. The account is connected to your application through the email address you gave. Anything you add while setting up the account is entered on that service.
- Correspondence. The emails you send us and our replies, including anything you choose to share, such as a proposal from a prospective partner or a CV from someone interested in working with us.
- Technical information. With every form, the address of the page it was sent from, including any campaign tags in that address, and the time it was sent. Each form also checks how quickly it was filled in and whether a hidden field was completed, to screen out automated submissions; the results of these checks are discarded. Your IP address is kept in the server's working memory to limit repeated submissions, and it is left out of the stored record of your submission. If the security check appears on the educator application form, your IP address is sent to Cloudflare to verify that check. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and, when an automatic email to a educator applicant cannot be sent, that applicant's email address.
The forms on this website never ask for payment or card details, and visitors do not sign in to this website. Please do not send us sensitive information, such as health details or identity documents, unless we have asked for it for a specific reason.
How we use it
- To reply to you. Answering your message or enquiry by email, at the address you gave.
- To pass your message to the right team. Routing partnership, press, careers, and educator messages to the people at Eduspine who handle them.
- To consider educator applications. Reviewing an application and sending the applicant the link to set up an educator account.
- To protect the website. Detecting spam and automated abuse of the forms.
- To understand how the website is used. Where analytics is enabled, looking at aggregated statistics about visits and pages, so that the website becomes clearer.
- To meet legal duties. Responding to lawful requests and keeping the records the law requires of us.
Our legal grounds
Where the law of your country requires a legal ground for using personal information, we rely on the following.
- Steps toward a contract, and the contract itself. Replying to an enquiry, discussing a partnership, and considering an educator application.
- Legitimate interests. Protecting the forms from abuse and, where analytics is enabled, understanding how the website is used, weighed against your rights.
- Consent. Where we ask for your agreement to a particular use, that agreement is our ground for it. You may withdraw it at any time.
- Legal obligation. Answering lawful requests and keeping records the law requires.
Service providers
The website runs on services provided by the following companies.
- Vercel. Hosts the website and keeps its server logs.
- Supabase. Hosts the database in which form submissions are stored.
- Resend. Delivers the emails the website sends by itself, such as the link to set up an educator account.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. Provides the security check that can appear on the educator application form.
- Google Analytics. Measures visits to the website, where it is enabled.
Each of these companies handles the information it receives under its own terms of service and privacy policy, which are published on its website.
Processing across borders
Eduspine works as a network that reaches across borders. The service providers named above may store or process information in several countries, and our network teaches in 20+ of them. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live, under laws that differ from yours.
Each provider describes in its own privacy policy where it processes information and how it handles transfers between countries. You can ask us at hello@eduspine.com which providers hold your information.
How long we keep it
- Messages and enquiries. Deleted 24 months after our last exchange with you.
- Educator applications. Deleted 24 months after the application was last updated.
- Partnership correspondence. Kept while the partnership is discussed or runs, and for as long as the law requires after it ends.
- Deletion on request. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
Your rights
Write to hello@eduspine.com to exercise any of the rights below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we reply within 30 days.
- Access. Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your information.
- Restriction and objection. Ask us to limit how we use your information, or object to a use based on legitimate interests.
- Portability. Ask for the information you gave us in a common electronic format.
- Withdrawing consent. Withdraw a consent you gave, which stops that use from then on.
- Complaint. Complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
Depending on where you live, you may hold further rights under your local law. We honour those rights on the same terms.
Children
The forms on this website are for adults. A parent or guardian who writes to us about a learner under 18 can exercise the learner's rights under this policy.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child under 13. If we learn that a child has sent us information without a parent or guardian, we delete it.
Keeping it safe
The website is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions are stored with the database provider named in this policy. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it applies. The Terms of Use are published alongside this policy.
